Seven Ways to Power Up Your energy in 2023!
Super charge your batteries to maximize in all areas of your life this year.
Imagine having a wand that could instantly boost your energy?
It would be nice to just go abra-energetic-alabtra and go on with your day, but us muggles reach for a cup of coffee, get “wings” from Redbull, & chug down Monster instead.
I’m guilty of pushing myself to the edge with coffee. Many times indulging to the point of a mini bodily earthquake until I snap, crackle, and pop.
I have to remind myself there are many other alternatives to boosting energy besides coffee.
Here are seven energizing hacks that are not coffee, to keep you buzzin’ this year:
Stay moisturized: It’s essential for many of the body's functions.
Not only does it keep the skin and hair soft, hydrated, and healthy, but it also helps produce higher levels of energy.
Staying hydrated helps to maintain the electrolyte balance in cells that make up the body's muscles, which can lead to a greater spice for life.
Drink water, give your face a massage, soak up in lotion, put cucumbers on your eyes, get some sun, go for a dip in the water, & get proper sleep.
Even once a week can become such a healthy, lifelong habit.
Stay in your lane: Staying in your lane can give you energy.
It helps you stay focused on your goals without being distracted by what other people are doing.
Focusing on your own path allows you to make progress towards those goals without worrying about everything else that may drain your energy.
It helps to keep you motivated and energized as you work towards your desired outcomes.
For me, this looks like turning down invitations, hiding so people can’t find me, saying no, putting my phone on airplane mode, setting deadlines, etc…
Doing one small thing every day has gotten me closer to other things I eventually want to get done. I find this to be very helpful and motivating.
Stay unbothered: Remaining unbothered by outside stressors allows you to focus on the things that really matter and prioritize your own needs.
It helps you get things done with more clarity of mind and less mental exhaustion.
I know how many things from the external can affect my inner world, so blocking them out helps me stay sane many times.
I get into my comfort bubble and recharge like a mermaid in her cave there.
I could get all overwhelmed, watch my hair fall out, and let cortisol ruin my life if I let it…. Or I could sit on the beach, process my day, let it go, and move into a new day without letting it linger.
Find your comfort bubble when life gets stressful and go there.
Stay relaxed: Relaxation can help reduce stress and anxiety, which can lead to improved mental clarity and focus.
When we are more relaxed, our bodies are better able to rest and repair themselves, resulting in improved physical health.
This can help us feel energized and ready to tackle our goals.
I like to relax to music in a hammock or on the beach.
I also use breathing techniques, apply pressure to pressure points, & facial tapping when I get anxious. It works!
Stay focused: Staying focused can be a great way to boost energy levels.
When we have a clear vision of what we want to achieve, it keeps our motivation high and helps us stay on track.
Staying focused allows us to prioritize tasks that need to be done, allowing for more efficient use of our time.
After much experimentation, I know I need to deeply focus for 1 to 3 hours on something without ANY distractions. I feel energized, get lost in it, and don’t leave until I am done with it.
When I finish what I start, I feel even more energized because I can share what I complete. This is the positive reinforcement cycle that keeps me going.
Lately, its been tackling little things off of my to-do list that has made me happy like a clam and smiling like a dolphin.
Stay flourishing: When you feed yourself with the good stuff, you flourish. When you flourish, it leads to increased levels of happiness and contentment.
This helps you feel energized and able to tackle your goals with enthusiasm.
Flourishing helps you focus on your strengths rather than dwelling on weaknesses or failures. This can further help increase energy levels.
Some ways to do this include: meditation, going to the movies, reading a new book, yoga, connecting with another human, or a shopping spree.
When you take time out for yourself and practice self-care activities, you will feel an overall sense of wellbeing that also contributes positively to your energy level.
Stay optimistic: Staying optimistic can be a great way to boost energy levels and keep one's spirits high.
Optimism helps to foster a positive outlook on life, which allows you to stay motivated and energized.
When you focus on the beneficial aspects of any situation, it helps to reduce your worries, which can lead to an improved outlook about life.
Finding the silver lining, even in the darkest of moments, can work magic, usher in hope, & get us feeling okay about tomorrow.
